MIMO

Post by andi » 17 Oct 2016 10:50

Hello newFASANT,
my goal is to do MIMO simulations but for the beginning I would like to start with something easy.

Something like:

Two antennas with LOS and with also two scatterer so there will be also some NLOS components.
-> I would like to get a channel matrix between this two antennas.

It was possible for me to put the antennas and the scatterer but than I got lost.
Could you give me some advices or would you even have a tutorial for such an easy example?

Best regards

Andi

Dear Andy,

in the following example, you can find how to compute the near field in using a simple geometry fed by a customized DIA (radiation features definition) file. These observations points can be considered as omnidirectional dipoles

https://www.fasant.com/en/guides/gtd/6. ... simulation

Also, in this user guide, you can find more info about how to compute the coupling between antennas, where you can consider one rx antenna and several tx antennas.

https://www.fasant.com/en/guides/gtd/6. ... u/coupling

Please, try these examples, and then, when you finish them, I'll explain you the following steps such as compute the matrix channel

Please, don't hesitate to contact me for further info.

Dear Andi,

I'm writing to announce you that in the Silver version that you can find on our web (https://www.fasant.com/en/editions?ref=masthead) you can do MIMO simulations. You can find this feature in the GTD module.
